To be an inspiration to the art world in Canada - to be able to represent Canada on the international stage - to be a positive influence on the lives of those that view my art - to make a difference in the world with my art - this is my destiny.

Nadine Shenher Alberta, Canada is a professional artist who paints abstract art in bold vibrant acrylics, her signature style. Following the establishment of her massage therapy enterprise, Shen-Om Therapy in Calgary, Alberta some thirteen years ago, Nadine pursued a career in interior design before settling down to devote herself entirely to her passion of painting her unique style of abstract art. In a word - Beyond Contemporary. A prolific painter, Nadine has expanded her portfolios to include many massive works of art, much sought after in the interior design world.

Born in rural Saskatchewan, Nadine knew at a very young age that she wanted to be an artist. And yet her premature birth at 6 months in itself was a miracle. Only through her mother's belief in life of the unborn and love brought her through 8 blood transfusions after being pronounced dead in the womb. Devoid of any heartbeat at birth, she was revived through C -Section by a team of 6 medical doctors after a marathon operation to restore life.

The fragile nature of life is ingrained in Nadine, and with a second chance at life, Nadine lives life to the full with passion, fervor and gusto that puts her in a class by herself. This energy is directly translated into her paintings where she breaks the mold in the intensity of her abstract art - where uncommon is the norm and the unconventional her signature. Ever since she was a child, the creative process puts Nadine into a place of expansion and peace where time has no meaning and the hypnotic state opens the floodgates of creativity. Although often described as a prolific artist, Nadine paints from the heart, asking only that the viewer open their hearts and minds to listen with their hearts and embrace a work of art that heals and inspires.

Her parents were very creative artists in their own right, creating stunning jewellery pieces and paintings. Her father recognized her talent and taught Nadine the basic skill sets required to draw works of art and took her to art classes.

By the time she was 18 Nadine became very interested in the concept of Interior Design, and later, during her time working as a real estate agent, she found helping her clients find their dream home both rewarding and educational. Through the process of  learning about their taste in art , she would create colorful masterpieces for their homes.

However it is her work as a Certified Master Hypnotherapist that was formative in developing her insights into what for her constitutes a totally unique approach to creating abstract works of art. Nadine's starting point is to put herself into a state of Hypnosis and paints from this state. This enables her to create her own original piece beyond the deepest subliminal recesses of the mind. When it comes to painting works for a client, the process becomes intuitive at a soul level. The net result is a work of art that is a quantum leap over anything in the world of abstract art today. Electric color combinations intertwined with subtle hues and bold overtones resonate at a new level in the human psyche. And the demand for her work bears testimony the niche she has created for herself in the art world.

Although Nadine takes inspiration from legendary artists such as Van Gogh and brilliant scientists such as Einstein, the most incredible aspect of Nadine 's work as an artist is that she is completely self taught. But it's the way her internal energy manifests itself as she paints that is even more radical as she also gets inspiration from LIVE painting in heels or barefoot while interacting with the audience.

Nadine is always pushing the limits of artistic expression and she proves this continually, even ceiling drawing in a restaurant  a 5 feet by 10 feet chalk mural from a ladder a map of the ancient city of Damascus.

And as an artist she is also extremely sensitive to the human condition as when in Thailand she communicated in spirit with a man who had no arms or legs. Or venturing near an event horizon of eternity by piloting an airplane in the NWT, sitting on a rock at the edge of the Grand Canyon, scuba diving in Fiji, climbing Ayers Rock, experiencing a sweat lodge, body surfing of the North Shore, Australia or swimming with dolphins. This is the indomitable creative spirit of Nadine's life that manifests in her works of art.
